At the beginning of February, Geschichtomat visited Schule Tegelweg for the first time. At the request of the students, the focus was not on Jewish history for once. Instead, they researched National Socialism and, above all, the crimes committed in the context of euthanasia. The students explored two different topics in two videos:

The first group visited the nearby site of the former Farmsen care home. Today, it belongs to Fördern und Wohnen and Pflegen und Wohnen and offers a variety of apartments and facilities. From 1850 to the 1960s, however, people were imprisoned there, sometimes against their will, forced to do hard labor, and, during the Nazi era, also forcibly sterilized. Stefan Romey, special education teacher, and Susanne Schwendtke, Fördern und Wohnen, told the students about the history of the place and what it is supposed to become.

The second group traveled to the Evangelische Stiftung Alsterdorf (Alsterdorf Protestant Foundation) and met with Ingo Wille, a Stolperstein researcher. He told the students about the history of the former Alsterdorfer Anstalten, explained what euthanasia means, and recounted the fate of a former resident, Elise Kramer.
