Project Week at Stadtteilschule Bahrenfeld

4 new Videos

In November and December, students from a 9th grade class at Stadtteilschule Bahrenfeld participated in the project on Wednesdays. The young people developed four different videos:

  1.     The first group dealt with the biography of Charlotte Carlebach-Preuss. She was the wife of Hamburg's last rabbi under National Socialism, Joseph Carlebach. For their research, the young people visited the Ottensen district archive.
  2.     A second group visited the nearby Bornkampsweg cemetery. There, literary scholar Michael Studemund-Halévy gave them a guided tour and reported on the history of the site.
  3.     The new exhibition "Vistapoints" in the Altona Museum was the focus of the third contribution. The young people were given a guided tour of the exhibition and an interview with a member of the museum staff.
  4.     Hanukkah is celebrated again in December. But what is it actually and what traditions are behind it? Cantor Assaf Levitin answered these and other questions for the young people.

We would like to thank all interview partners for their great support!
