This was the first time the Emilie-Wüstenfeld-Gymnasium participated in the project. Students in grades 5–8 focused primarily on their own school’s history:

• There are numerous Stolpersteine in front of the school, including those for Julie Cahn and Martha Behrend. Two groups studied the biographies of these two women.
• The artist Gretchen Wohlwill worked as a teacher at the EWG. A mural she designed still commemorates her today. Students explored her story.
• The school’s namesake, Emilie Wüstenfeld, was committed to interfaith emancipation. Together with Johanna Goldschmidt, she founded the Social Association of Hamburg Women to bridge denominational differences. The students researched the biographies of both women as well as the history of the association.
