Dear friends and partners,
In the past few months, the Geschichtomat project has been busy again: A new project week took place at Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium in Wandsbek. Students of a 7th grade class dealt with the history of their own school and researched biographies of former Jewish students. The cooperation project on Jewish history in Mannheim was completed shortly before the summer vacations. The results of the workshop will soon be published online.
There is also a reason to celebrate: Geschichtomat and the Institute for the History of the German Jews were awarded the Hamburg Foundation Prize at the end of October. We are very happy about this honor.
Finally, a small note on our own behalf: If you would like to participate in Geschichtomat, please write to us! There are still free project weeks for this year. We already have some bookings for the first half of 2022, but a few spots are still available. We look forward to meeting you and your classes!
