Dear friends and partners,

we sincerely hope that you have had a good start to the new school year and that by now you have become accustomed to all the necessary measures. As you can certainly imagine, we are still a bit away from implementing regular project weeks. But of course we use the time to work on the project and develop it further.

Already in the last newsletter we reported about adding English subtitles to the videos. By the end of the year, the website itself should also follow and then be available not only in German, but also in English. Another construction site on the Geschichtomat website is the "For the classroom" section. This will be expanded and restructured by the end of the year. There are a large number of excellent videos that are wonderfully suited for use in various subjects. These will be highlighted. For this purpose, starting at the end of the year, you can find different categories in the "For the classroom" section, which are based on the Hamburg curriculum. Hidden behind these are selected videos that deal with individual areas of Jewish history and religion. So be curious!

And last but not least, a hint for the coming year: In 2021 we celebrate 1700 years of Jewish life in Germany. Of course, we will also participate in this. At the end of February 2021, there will be project days on the topic of Purim in cooperation with the Gedenk- und Bildungsstätte Israelitische Töchterschule. More information and instructions for registration will soon be available on our website.
