Memorial for the Resistance in Hamburg
The memorial "Table with 12 chairs" was erected in 1987 in memory of Hamburg resistance fighters against the Nazi regime.
We go to school in Niendorf and visited the memorial in Niendorf-Nord. We made a film about it.
The memorial remembers 11 resistance fighters, there is a chair for each of them. The 12th chair is for the viewer. He/She is welcome to sit on the 12th chair and commemorate the victims. In our project we have been able to get to know the history of Kurt Ledien better.
