Emma and Henry Budge

In 1903, the Jewish couple Budge moved from the USA back to Emma's native city of Hamburg. There they lived in a villa at Harvestehuder Weg and built up an important art collection over the years. Today, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe has many pieces from this collection. Researcher Dr. Silke Reuther investigates the ways in which the artifacts came to the museum.
