Satellite Camp of Neuengamme
Class 8 students at Stadtteilschule Flottbek spent four project days exploring the topic of Stolpersteine. The students learnt about the Stolpersteine project and its founder, Gunter Demnig; they visited Stolpersteine already laid in their neighbourhood and researched the biographies of victims of the Nazis. The students documented their findings in a total of six short stop-motion videos.
One group researched the history of the Eidelstedt satellite camp, which was part of the Neuengamme concentration camp. From 1944 onwards, around 500 Hungarian and Czech Jewish women were imprisoned here.
